Weak administration. Lazy (most)teachers. Teachers pile on homework and expect the parents to partner with them, yet take no responsibility for the child s performance. If your child can march in their Stalinistic system, and if you re prepared to be a full time teacher, your children may do well. Our sons scored 'commended' on the state 'TAKS' test, but are able only to muster by with marginal grades. Grading has much more to do with behavior rather than substance. Mastery of material is secondary to style and teaching to the TAKS test. Having no online system to empower parents with the ability to monitor homework is inexcusable given the tax base in this community.”
