Shepton High School Reviews

Teachers and Administrators work well together so that all students have the opportunity to excel and achieve their dreams.

Some of the teachers at Shepton are phenomenal, others not so much. Since every teacher teaches every subject differently (including different assignments at times) it really depends on the luck of the draw as to how much you enjoy your classes and how much outside help you get (although most teachers offer plenty of tutorials). The work load is also extremely heavy, and competition is fierce (GPA= life for many students). The extracurriculars are great, but the arts (especially theatre and debate) don't get as much attention as they should. Truly, though, if you just get involved, EVERYONE at Shepton can find their place. While it took me a while to adjust to Shepton, I wouldn't want to trade my experience for anything.

Shepton High School has very well organized academic programs, and available tutorials for students who need more one on one help with their learning experience. The level of parent involvement is very high in comparison to many other schools. Availability of sports and extracurricular activities is great, but the in the area of arts for those who are more creative, could be improved upon. Those who teach the art classes are great for the job, but there should be more options for different forms of art instead of only sculpture, and the regular art classes. Some adolescence may excel better in the two-dimensional art, like drawing and painting, rather than the sculpture and three-dimensional art projects that come in the regular art classes.

shepton high school provides the need for a child to succede. The public school has offerings of many extra corricular and electives. Shepton has a strong athletic department and basic music department. their theatre program is not the strongest and if you are looking for a career outside of the basics then this might not be the right choice. the students here do not have a high set standard for grade points. PISD is not always much of an envolvment. They do hold all of the school related events and dances. the students here sometimes like anyschool can be quite judgmental and fitting in can be tough. Their cheer program has won national champions now 2 years in a row. their amazing stallionettes (drill team) is also very well put together. anyone looking for a business career should be well off in shepton.
