Lee Elementary School Reviews

The teachers at Lee are great. The office staff are very professional with the parents.

The principal, Mrs. Grider, is perfect and heads a great staff. The teachers are terrific. I can't think of one thing that I would change about this school.

This year I now have 2 at TJ Lee. I think the teachers are awesome and my dealings with the office staff has been positive. However, I worry about the 'No Child Left Behind' policy directing too much attention to 'those left behind' and not on those who need a challenge. Coming from a minority upbringing that didn't necessarily have encouragement or challenges, I don't want my children to 'just' attend school. I want them to want knowledge and have ideas. I feel before long, I will need to change schools to keep them ahead of the game. Otherwise, kuddos to the teachers for working hard.

I have been a Lee parent since 2001 and still have two more years before my last one goes to middle school. I have been through two different principals, each with their unique approach but still able to maintain the Lee standard. Most of the staff have worked there for years, I think that says a lot about the school too. There is absolutely nothing to complain about at Lee. It is an amazing school in every way! Go Lions!

A previous post said the marquee sign was all in Spanish. It's not. It's bilingual with one side English, one side Spanish. With an increasing number of parents who do not speak English, the marquee is a good way to keep them informed. The teachers here are really the best. Fifth grade teachers in particular are outstanding. The staff is just very professional and (probably most importantly) fun. You can tell they appreciate each other, even with the changes in administration. I'm glad to recommend Lee to as many families as I can.

I must say, that for the declining area, TJ Lee is the best elementary school in this area. We have just started our 4th year here, and have been pleased for the most part. Our teachers have been great, with the exception of 1 grade. I have had a few unpleasant encounters with the ofc staff, one which I had to report to the principle. Frankly, the marquee signs in all spanish disturb us. We are looking to move ASAP.

My son has very much enjoyed his kindergarten year at Lee. His teacher did a great job and he loved his special activites and his classmates. I would recommned Lee Elementary to anyone who wants a great school experience.

TJ Lee is a wonderful school. The teachers are very positive. The adminstrators are always available.
