Britain Elementary School Reviews

This school consists of exceptional teachers and administration. The staff really cares about each child individually and they all strive towards helping each child achieve his or her highest potential. The school atmosphere is wonderful and the teachers and administrative staffa re always willing to help.

I worked at this school for several years. I found the principals to be exceptionally dedicated to their jobs, and the teachers too. There is a strong emphasis on training the teachers to meet the needs of all the students in their classroom.

With this school being in such a low economic neighborhood there should be an afterschool care program. More programs geared towards those students who only speak english. Too many of the programs are for spanish speakers. The teachers are phenomenal.

I found this school to be one of the better schools in the Irving, TX area with regards to educational quality and safety.

I live only a half a block from this school my now 8thgr was transferred to another elementary per my insistance 5yrs ago. I now have another child attending this facilty hoping to give it another chance. It does not look good. The facility was in dire need of an upgrade and though it has recieved a facelift physically, the mental environment has not. This school seems to be the red headed step child of the district. Their website is always out of date and offers little parent info. The faculty treats you as not a partner in your childs education but a outside disturbance. I think you should be in close communication with your childs teacher and not expect them to babysit. They tend to cater way too much to one ethnicity within the school while sacrificing their other students. It is not a balanced environment. We will probably again seek a transfer away from this school.
