Brandenburg Elementary School Reviews

Good school; strong teachers and good leadership apparent. Willing to try new programs for the success of the students.

At first this school looks nice. Clean, organized, overall nice feeling. Seems that classrooms are a bit out of control and the feedback from our daughter's teacher was less than impressive. This school has lost any luster it had and we're moving out of this district.

Had Mrs. Corton and Mrs. Fernandez this year and it was wonderful. They were excellent teacher. Communication was great -- they not only informed you of what was going on but was was expected from your child at different stages of the school year. They push their student to a higher level, they do not baby their student and the students are so much more awarded academically. Both our kids have really enjoyed the dual language program. We are staying in the area just for the dual language program.

My daughter goes to Brandenburg and is in their dual language program. We have really been satisfied and impressed with the dual language. I feel like we are finally catching up with the rest of the world in teaching our children two languages.

My daughter attended this chool from K through 3 and we moved to N Arlington. We are planning to move back to Irving for her 5th grade year because of their dual language program at Brandenburg. The teachers worked well together and the students could speak English and Spanish very well.

I too have a child in Ms Corton and Ms Fernandez class and strongly agree with previous parent about communicaton between teacher and parent. He was also at Brandenburg last year and excellent communication between teachers and myself. Both years I was able to have meetings and conference calls when I was unable to make it to the school. I really appreciate the new security proceedure put into place for visitors on campus.

Hello- I just wanted to take a minute and say mrs. Corton and mrs.Fernandez are awsome. I am very pleased with all my girls have learned so far this year. Communication is great as well as the one on one time. Kuddos to you both!

this is my sons second year there and i have no complaints i think everything is good. good communication between parents and teachers in my opinion.

This school is poorly organized and out-of-control.

I think that Brandenburg Elementary School is a great school. I think that having communication with you childs teacher can take you a long way. I have no complaints about this school. my son learned alot and I am really thankful for his teachers and everyone that helped.

Highly disorganized school, lacking in communication with parent(s), teachers are disinterested regarding students' well-being. Requested several times with teacher, staff, and principal to have items addressed throughout the schoolyear, such as safety, organization, actually meet the required amount of parent-teacher conferences, and things have only been shuffled around and excuses given. Planning on moving out of this district as soon as possible to put my child into school where the staff members will care, and education will be put first instead of last. The school is good about planning extra-curricular activities however, anything so they won't have to focus on the actual child. Just don't expect to be notified about said activities, or given the information needed to ensure your child will have lunch, necessary uniform, etc.

I went to Brandenburg Elementary. It was a very good experience for me as far as schools go. I enjoyed the teachers that I had and the classrooms were a good size. The teachers made the classrooms fun, which made me want to try harder on my work. I am a mother of two now and I am moving back to Irving so that my kids can have a good elementary experience like I did.
