South Euless Elementary School Reviews

I am confused why our school has 2 front desk 'secretaries'. Other elementaries have 1 and they also have a computer lab teacher. Is there a budget reason for this being different at our school? Would be VERY nice to have a computer lab teacher to help our children when they go to lab.

I love this school .The principle, the teachers and the cafetria ladies are all excellent and I appreciate what their doing for our kids. The thing that I don't understand is why the two front ladies are so rude with parents. They are supposedto be the front cover of the school. They have no manners especially the one with black hair .We are not begging them ,we are just asking them in a nice way to do their job.Is it that hard to speak with a parent in a nice smiley face for two minutes. They are really a bad impression of the school.

I have been very lucky to have had some wonderful teachers who have gone above and beyond to help with identifying my son's ADD/Dyslexia problems. Mrs.Edmonds, Karim, Black, Cranford and Moore all get an A++!! They sincerely do care about my son and our educational frustrations. Both my son and I are very familiar with most teachers @ SEE....they do work as a team and are all willing to help in any way possible. (P.S. The office staff could use some classes in customer service...they do not give a good impression on what the school really is all about at all! -- I love the SEE teachers and staff!)

I love the school but the two women at the front desk are so rude. I went to get my child from school for an appt and was told that I had to go find which class my child was in for Fine Arts. They couldn't even call three classes to see if my child was in there! They need to have training in manners!

I think the principal could be more accesible. My son studied first grade last year, but not too much homework. At last, the substitute teacher, Miss Buffy, doing excellent. Please be more nice at the front desk, the secretary is so rude some time.

The current principle has taken away some of the 'fun' activities such as the annual talent show, etc. The previous principle seemed to be more visual and excited about the school, the teachers, and the kids. The teachers are great for the majority with several in different grades that are phenomenal.

I have kids in this school, the teachers work hard and doing them best to improve the education. The staff are great. The school is great , but i hope the parents get more nice treat[ment] by the front desk personnel.

This is not a bad chool. At the same time it is not an extreamly good one too. I would say it is an average + (B+) school. I like the fact that they give lot of importance to student discipline. Most of the teachers can be rated from good to very good. Major problem I see with this school is that it many classes lacks practicals learning. I believe most of the education is confined to books. I don't current Principal is not bad. Actually I like to rate her abilities 4/5. I noticed she got rid of some staff who are not even meeting expectations.

I have 2 children that attend this school. Princinpal lacks leaderships skills in many areas. A few really outstanding teachers. Horrible play yard.

Parent involvement very small, but seems to have some great very involved parents. There are many good teachers at this school and only a handful of exceptional teachers. The teachers seem to have their hands tied because the principal has them teaching out of TAKS preparation books only for over 3/4 of the school year. She seems to be more concerned with the TAKS scores and how the district officers view her. Unfortunately, our children are the ones that suffer at this school. If your child must attend this school, be vigilant.

I have three boys going to South Euless and we transferred from DISD two years ago. At first, I was not sure how the curriculum was going to challenge my boys, they came from a blue ribbon school with a 18:1 ratio, but after seeing how the teachers interact with them everything seems to be going well. The student/teacher ratio is comfortable where they don't get lost in the class or overlooked. All of the teachers are approachable and extremely helpful. Anyone looking to transfer or choosing to start your children at South Euless will be making a positive decision.

My 3rd child started SEE this year . They have been wonderful of keeping us abreast of the issues that concern us most . Teachers like Hamam, Brown, Krackenberger, Etheridge etc and the school nurse have all been really lovely and the academic schedule and coverage is exemplary.

I think the school can be better in choice of teachers for 1 st grade . im not happy with my sons teacher in all ways, I think there should be more homework and other school work.2 I think when things are going on the school that all parents know what going on . please make it better for the school and the kids.

not keen on teacher supervision in class and onplay yard.

Acadamically, school need to do more to push itself to examplary level like they said it's one of their goals.

We were really satisfied with the school's leadership from K-5. The principal retired and the new principal seems to be still feeling everything out. This is our son's last year at the school and overall we are happy with his elementary years.

High level of academic challenge.

They appear to monitor the kids well as far as academic ability and to ensure they are challenged appropriately. The teachers are very friendly and informative and show that they love their profession. The school is clean and well kept. I attended the first grade play they had and was quite impressed!

South Euless is an amazing choice of school for our son, Rylee. He is so happy at the end of each school day and looks forward to going the next morning. We feel that he is getting everything he needs to excel and much more from his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Langley!

This is a wonderful school. The teachers make every effort to ensure the child learns at a comfortable rate. Assisted in identifying my son's ADHD problem at an early age. Assisted in the maintenance of my daughter's diabetes. Some teachers show little desire to control some children that have issues with being too aggressive towards others. Excellent overall opinion of the school.
