Skyline High School Reviews

This is my son's first year at Skyline High School. Skyline is an excellent school with a principal, administrators and teachers who seem to really care about the students. My son is very involved athletics. Skyline has excellent football and basketball programs. But if your son is interested in playing baseball, you should consider sending him to another high school as Skyline's baseball program is well below par.

Hey! Skyline High school is amazing! Students become extremely well rounded but the best part are the clusters. There's so many people there and we're able to interact and learned about the many people around us. In smaller schools, it's harder to find friends and teaches who understand studnets, but at Skyline, there's so many people to hang around with.

This school was a great second home to grow up and see life.

If you're looking to having a great future ahead of you and a great career, then choose Skyline High School! I would have to say that this high school is the best school in Texas! I've heard lot's of great things about this school and can't wait to experience it my self when I go to this school this upcomming school year for 2008-2009! This school has alot of choices for you to pick from and alot of opportunties as to what you're looking to be when you grow up!

im solomon, im a student at skyline and I have to say that this is the best school I have ever went to. The clusters can get you out of collage early and its a cant miss for the start of your career.

I am a former student (class of 04') of Skyline High School. I enjoyed my high school years in this school and have very fond memories of them. I met great people, and several teachers that inspired me and to them I give thanks for their encouragement and sincere heart. I managed to keep a B+ average and made the NHS my senior year. I was in the Computer Cluster, JV soccer team and French club. Overall, my years spent in this school were great! I recommend this school to anyone who wants to try something different. FYI: Skyline was not my homeschool, and my siblings and I all had to apply to get in. I was the 4th in my family to graduate from Skyline. The baby of the family graduates 08'! This is all out of 7 kiddos. What does that tell you?

I am currently a senior at this profound school where i ws able to grasp a concept of the actual working world through the advanced social sciences cluster. The magnet profram gave me an edge when apply for colleges and internships.

I attended for a while, found the school good only as it helps you with a career. However, it does not prove to have very good preparation for college classes.

I like skyline because it challenges me in so many diffrent ways.It might be far from my home, but it is worth the long ride.

I love skyline high school because it has helped me develop mentally on towards, what I to be, once I'm older. I'm currently attending skyline, and all I can say is.. Go Raiders!

The best school for students to explore careers and mature in life. Students learn how to be independent and learn social skills; therefore, allowing to feel ready to be out in the 'real world'. I am currently in the advanced social sciences cluster, [ the man & his environment cluster], in which I am being prepared to become an attorney. Skyline is the best place for a student to start living life to its fullest

I love Skyline High School because it is also a career development center. The students at this school are challenged in many different ways. I have maintained the high B honor roll for three years.I am also in the Hospitality Cluster where I have a high paying job at a prestigous downtown hotel at the age of 17. This school has a lot to offer.

Great magnet program....great teachers....good facilities

THe aboslute best school . . . . . . . . . . .

The absolute best school! perfect. . . . . . . .. . . . . .

Skyline has the best all around program for its students. It is the best school in Dallas ISD. Don't be fooled by its size, the teachers and administration are wonderfully caring and nurturing. My son loves this school and will be a senior in 2008. We feel that he is getting an outstanding academic education while also enjoying a well-rounded extracurricular schedule.

Provides a high level of academics and extra curricular activities.

Too big and too overcrowded. They are also geetting too scrict with the good students and not scrict enough with the real trouble makers

Skyline High School is very different from your averagre school such as Hillcrest, W.T. White and Townview. In this school you will find some of the most bright and intelligent students on the face of this planet. Yes some of the children go there looking for trouble, but with the aid of the new principal Leslie Williams, and the rest of the faculty, Skyline will rise from the ashes....... Yes, Skyline is at a turning point, but the turn must be made with exact precision and tiomming... no time must be wasted. This school is one of the best in Texas and the nation.........

First let me state that I am not a parent, but a former student of Skyline class of 01'. Skyline is not ths school it use to be. Students are not caring about the well being of their education and neither our some of the teachers. The principal needs to go back Carter, because no changes have been made for the well being of the students and faculty. But in all we you do find one of the few teachers that are left at Skyline that care about the students, then you have found one of it's 'Diamonds in the Ruff'

Its a good school, but it tends to be on the crowded side. The PTA is also very good. Security can be a bit lax at times but over all the school is good.

DISD provides adequate teaching but it's the students and their backgroungs that make up what becomes of the school.

I went to this school and I liked it, they have good teachers and it is overall a good school.

Skyline is a very good school if you want to be sucessful in life. There are many programs, clubs, sports personaly im in the 2004-2005 wrestling team.I enjoy this school as a freshmen. This school is like a city. it's HUGE. it even got stores like the raider spot and the decca store. as my first year being here i really like it and I looking foward to the next 3 years.

I work at Skyline for 7 years. Skyline has everything a student could ask for. Of course there are teachers that are more dedicated and attentive to their students than others, but that is at any school. This year we have a strong leader that doesn't settle for second best. I feel like students these days don't make it becasue they lack application. Skyline offers tutoring and saturday school also. All around Skyline is the best!!

I am a former student at Skyline. The whole curriculum was great. (I was in the Cluster part.)But honestly, I wouln'dnt send my children there. I would as punishment though! Some of the teachers are more focused on their pay than on the students. And when the test time came around, most of the kids were unprepared!

This is an awesome school. The teachers and staff are more than willing to assist in any area for the parent and the student.

I am presently in my senior year at Skyline. I can honestly say that these have been the best 4 school years I have had. Due to the large amont of students, it makes the school more of a prepatory for real life. We have people of all ethnicities and races. We have 100s of courses you can take. Last year Skyline was proclaimed a city and might I say it is just like one. We have our own everything. Going to Skyline everyday is like waking up and entering an educational city. I love my school and will forever speak high of it even when I am a long gone alumni!

Skyline high school is a great school, I have 2 boys that graduated from Skyline in 2000. It gives the students hands on experience and helps to strive for their future goals by giving them the tools that are required for the future.

I believe Skyline is the best School in Dallas. It has structure and it gives children to learn things that they will not get the chance to learn in any othe DISD school. My child was in culinary arts and won competitions. She never would have done that at any other Dallas School.

I have two daughters that attend Skyline(11 and 10 grade). My daughters are not in the district so they must work even harder to keep their grades up. I believe that this school has helped my childern to learn about responsibility and to have goals in life.

Skyline is not the school it was intended to be. There are too many students there who do not want to learn, but are there because they are required to do so. Discipline has deteriorated. Unlesss a structure of discipline is re-instated, the administration focuses on education and less socializing and the standards for entrance are raised, the school will continue to be simply just another school for day care.
