Coppell Middle West in Dallas, Texas

“I love this school. It has been great for my kids. We moved from another school district to Coppell when the kids were in grade school & my oldest stressed a little saying it felt like he was doing homework that was beyond his grade level & my youngest struggled a little more but had an INCREDIBLE teacher that tutored him & helped him make the transition. Yet again when they reached CMSW they struggled to adapt to the rigor but the teachers were VERY helpful keeping us in the loop w/weekly e-mails of expectations & projects. I did get the SLIGHTEST HINT of a lack of compassion w/my youngest ADD child but that was only 1 teacher & 1 instance. It's been great ever since.”

“We just moved to Coppell from out of state because of this school district. Unfortunately, we will be moving again out of Coppell because of this school. They believe they are superior to all other school districts, yet lack compassion and teaching abilities. I would not recommend.”

“Coppell Middle School West is amazing! The staff includes a principal who has been there 20+ years and teachers who are very passionate about what they do. Everyone here seems to go the extra mile and you can feel that as soon as you walk in. We passed on going the private school right because this was just like one but with less expense. Many kuddos for this school and the staff-and the kids of course>”

“My child attended CMS-W the last three years and it was a absolute nightmare. The teachers were very hard to get along with for me and my child. The homework was incredibly hard and they had very little time to complete any project or assignment at all. It's not all this school, most of it is just the way that the district is run. The have terrible administration. I would not recommend this school or the district at all.”

“I went there two years ago, it was an amazing experience, I have so many great memories from that school, more so than any other school I have attended hence far. The academics are excellent, the extracurricular activities are good as well.”

“The quality and caring nature of the teachers is excellent at this school. I expect like most schools, active involvement (and persistence) by the parent is required to ensure the best programs and academic alternatives are made available to your student. However, with parent persistence, the response from the teachers has been excellent. The main two concerns I have is that 1) the student ratings are not weighted for the Pre-AP classes (A honor roll achieved for students who don't take any pre-AP classes and yet A honor roll denied to students who may have high B+ grades in their pre-AP classes), 2) there are a fair amount of cliques within the school (however not sure it is much different from other schools). Overall, these two issues do not outweigh the excellent curriculum and quality of teachers and staff at the school.”

“Coppell Middle School West is probaly one of the best middle schools in the state of Texas. Not only educationaly but athleticly winning there district 8-0.”
