East Fort Worth Montessori Academy Reviews

The school is great, but i feel the could be better leadership and organization skills with in the management dept. I would like more input on what my child is learning as far as certain teachers go. You know who you are???

My child was behind at his former school and the teachers and staff got him up to grade level in two months. I love this school.

My children have grown in more than one aspect since they started attending school there. I feel comfortable leaving my children there because the teachers feel like family. And I feel like my children get the attention they need to succeed in every subject.

My son attends the Bethlehem Center off Rosedale which is a extension of the main campus(off Oakland). And he is learning so much and the teachers are doing a wonderful job with the children. I hope they continue this program so my daughter can attend also.

The Outdoor Learning Environment at this school is phenomenal! A pond, community garden, labyrinth, individual class gardens, butterfly garden, container gardening, and a state of the art science lab! Science abounds in this place. The children have a wealth of opportunities to learn how to be good stewards of this place we call home. more to come....

This school has been a big disappointment. I have a first grader that is being pressured to do well, but has somehow missed out on basic learning skills. He has been at the school since PK3. It seems to us that he has just been pushe through the system without getting the basic learning skills. My daughter who is a 4th grader at another school attended this school from PK3 to 3rd grade. Now she is struggling with math and reading, due to not getting the basic skills while attending this school. I just saddens me that this is being allowed to go on.

My children began attending EFWMA this year, and so far, we are very pleased and excited about the direction that the school is going. If you are looking for a pretentious school for your children, you might want to look elsewhere. This school is no nonsense, warm-hearted, and progressive. They have started new extra curricular activities such as theater, drumming, art, etc., which I know had been complained about from the lack thereof in the past. The teachers, to me, are very dedicated, well educated, and care for the children. My son is dyslexic, and to my amazement there are several teachers here that are specifically educated to work with dyslexic children. I am very excited to be a part of this school and look forward to working with the teachers, parents, and students.

This school has done more for my child than any other school I have taken him to. My son has been in the school from Kindergarten through 5th grade. This school is trying to bring the montessori experience to the people who needed it most. The director Mrs. Brown cares for the children and does her best to give them a quality education. I have seen several students leave the school and have read some of the complaints, but to be honest I think it's a bunch of whining to me. If your son or daughter had to leave it was probably because they were unruly, my son was a mess but Mrs. Brown and the rest of the staff worked with him every step of the way and now he's doing fine and looking forward to going to school everyday.

This is my child's second year at this school, and her first year went really well, she had a great teacher, but this year right after class started, they switched her to a teacher I have a problem with. I am very disappointed. I think the goals of this school are geared toward a particular audience that my child is not a part of.

My daughter has just began this program in august. She has already learned new ideas, concepts, and skills. I love this school and feel that each and every child should attend a montessori school.

My daughters attended last school year. Although I have my issues with the school, especially in terms of discipline, they did learn to read and add. Granted, they are still struggling readers, but as I thought about moving them to anohter school, I have to admit that the weakest part of attending this school is discipline and lack of programs. There are no programs (plays, talent scows, etc.) This is a real disappointment to me, especially them not having an awards assembly.

I feel that the school could improve on it organization. Whenever I have attended any program at the school for my daughter who is going to kindergarden, you can't even hear what's going on because there is such poor reception. My daughter has learned a lot from her teacher Ms. Tabb and I truly appreciate her. There is not enough parking in the parking lot so some parents tend to be very ugly when they are dropping off or picking up their child from school. I think the school could use a lot of cosmetic improvement.

I admire what they are trying to accomplish. It is not an easy to task to bring to all children what is currently reserved for only the children of the wealthy.
