2009 is here and the winds of change are blowing all around.  Those same winds breathe new life and move Voodoo Witness forward with a stronger sense of purpose.  It is in this spirit that Voodoo Witness morphs into a new band called The Sol Witness.

Terry Humphries, on guitar and vocals,

Vernon Jones, on the bass guitar and vocals, has over 40 years as a professional musician.  Hailing from Memphis, TN, he began his career learning to play with some of the best R&B musicians and British invasion bands in the business.  Early in his career, in the late 60’s and early 70’s, he played the Southeast Music Circuit. 

More recently, he has spent much of his time in the studio.  As one of the owners of Beat-Ntrax Recording Studio in Garland, TX, he engineered CDs for Blue Lisa and the Howling Dogs, Eric Dale’s Live in Rio, Christian Brooks, and Lance Lopez.  He is also a Partner in New Bridge Studios in Dallas, TX.

Bands he has played with include The DeVilles, The Epics, The Groupe, The Velvet Hammer, The Glass Pain, Reflections, Corpora, The Will Crayton Band, James Ferris Group, and Voodoo Witness.

Kelly Scroggins, on drums, has over 30 years experience with various local bands whose genres range from Southern Rock to Progressive Rock.  His natural talent and high energy level is the heart beat of any band he plays with.

Lauri Larrell, lead singer, has joins The Sol Witness as its soulful lead singer.  She has sung in the Dallas area for the last few years and adds her powerful, feminine voice as another resonant layer to the unique songs styles of TSW.

Anthony W. Rush

Anthony was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in the West Dallas Projects.  He began singing at the early age of six, but seriously started singing at the age of twelve, after the death of his mother.  Anthony was encouraged to encourage himself, to start singing praises to God.

In 1990, Anthony was asked by his brother, Pastor Rickie Rush of the Inspiring Body of Christ Church, to help start a church, in which, he became the conductor of Praise and Worship.

Anthony is now an Evangelist of song.  He sings songs that bless the sinner and encourage the preacher.  Songs that soothe the soul.  Anthony recently released his third CD "Too Blessed".  His first "God's Promise" is a soul stirring traditional gospel project, and the second "ADORE" has a message from God to the hell bound sinner and the heavenly bound Christian.

Frequently compared to such soulful singers as Barry White, BeBe Winans, James Cleveland and Ray Charles, all of whom are children of God.
