Great Place for a Date

I am very surprised at previous reviews: my boyfriend and I have been to Dali twice, and loved it both times. The first time, I took him for his birthday. It wasn't a busy night, so our waiter was able to spend ample time with us, pairing wine with our dishes. I don't remember what we got specifically, but we both loved all our food, particularly our salads. We sat inside where it was a little cramped, but otherwise had a great time. On our second visit, we were able to sit outside. Although our waiter seemed a little new, he didn't hesitate to get a second opinion when we were picking out a wine. Again, our food was delicious; the risotto and salad was great. I recommend sitting outside, as inside is a little cramped. I wouldn't recommend Dali for a large party, inside or out, as it might get a little cramped. We hope to go again soon, which is rare for us: my boyfriend is the type who constantly wants to visit new restaurants and rarely returns to ones where we've already dined. Again, I'm quite surprised at the negative reviews! I hope to visit Dali soon for the great wine, food and friendly service.

Pros: great food, great wine, great location

Cons: a little bit cramped

Disappointing visit based on reviews and reputation. Service was lackluster by waiters that seemed to have a great time among themselves. Slipped on previous guests' napkins on the floor. Dining room was drafty every time the door opened. Bathroom was unkept with paper towels on the floor and water on the floor. Wines were nice with waiter's suggestions. Food was underwhelming and average. Each of us got a different main dish, and no one wanted to finish theirs. Restaurant side of business needs some basic attention if they expect many repeat customers. Dali didn't live up to its hype.

Pros: Wine list

Cons: Service, Food

Not worth the hype...

Very disappointing. We went for my birthday with 8 other friends. Dali was cramped which caused my friend to have wine poured all over him. The service was under par & food was well below expectations. We had a reservation and still waited an hour to be seated. The prices did not match the quality of food. The only redeeming part of the experience was the wine menu. Maybe they should stick with Just being a wine bar.

Pros: Wine menu

Cons: Cramped, poor service, loud, underwhelming food
